Residents are warmly invited to attend this year’s Annual Parish Meeting and Community Awards, taking place on Thursday 16 April at Wendover Community Library.
This is an important and enjoyable evening in the Wendover calendar, bringing together residents, local organisations, and businesses to hear updates, share ideas, and celebrate the people who make our community special.
Community Showcase & Business Networking (6–7pm)
The evening begins with a Community Showcase alongside a Wendover Business Networking Event. This is a great opportunity to meet local groups, discover what’s happening in the area, and connect with local businesses.

This sounds like a really nice community-focused event, especially the way it brings together residents, local groups, and businesses all in one evening. I like that it’s not just a formal meeting but also includes the showcase and networking part beforehand, which makes it feel more open and engaging rather than just sitting through reports. It’s good that people get a chance to actually see what’s happening locally, ask questions, and feel involved in decisions that affect their area. The Community Awards part is probably one of the best aspects too, because recognising volunteers and local contributions can really boost morale and encourage more people to get involved in small but meaningful ways.
