Many Wendover residents were shocked to find a newsletter on their doormat proposing a development of 300 dwellings between Halton Ln, the canal and existing houses.

The proposal by Hawridge Land, part of a larger group of development companies, intends to build an estate on two fields between the Pursell Path and Halton Lane with a single vehicle access from Halton Lane. It will run alongside the canal at sensitive wildlife points.

We are hoping to meet with the developer alongside Halton Parish Council to understand the development more and outline our views. Currently we believe that this is not an appropriate location for building and would strongly object to this development.

A formal planning application has not yet been submitted. Any application will be considered by Bucks Council. Whilst Wendover Parish Council will respond we do not have any legal influence on the outcome.

This proposal is at an early stage but we are asking residents to respond to the call for views by emailing their thoughts to the developer at wendoversprings@meeting-place.uk

We do not advise that anyone fill out the online form as the questions are there for a reason determined by the developer and not intended to be an independent review.
