Wendover Markets
Discover the best of local food, drink and craftsmanship at the Wendover Local Produce Market. The market brings together beautiful handmade crafts alongside freshly made food and drink, all in a friendly village atmosphere.
We’re proud that most of our stallholders live within an 8-mile radius of Wendover, with many based right here in the village. There’s a good chance the honey you’re tasting was made by bees buzzing around local gardens - perhaps even yours.
Wendover Parish Council hosts the Local Produce Market on the third Saturday of every month, from 10am to 2pm, on Manor Waste (the paved area outside of Sweeneys).
You’ll find a wide variety of stalls on offer, including plants and flowers, baked goods and cakes, meat, pottery, wood carving and much more.
While you’re here, enjoy the infamous view of the Wendover Clock Tower with the Chiltern Hills as a backdrop, then take a stroll along the High Street for boutique shopping or a bite to eat at one of Wendover’s cafés or restaurants.
The Council also offers free charity pitches (3x3m) each month at the Local Produce Market for local charities and community organisations. Charity pitches are allocated subject to the number of applications received and availability at each market.
If you’re interested in trading at the Wendover Local Produce Market, or would like to apply for a charity pitch, please get in touch by emailing estates@wendover-pc.gov.uk.

Weekly Thursday Market
Every Thursday
on Manor Waste (paved area outside of Sweeney's)
9am - 3pm
Wendover’s weekly market has a rich history dating back to 1464, when the village was granted a Royal Charter to hold a market. With the exception of a brief pause of nearly a hundred years, the market has continued to thrive, running consistently from 1983 to the present day.
Today, the Thursday Market offers a wide variety of stalls to suit all tastes and needs. You’ll find savoury and sweet baked goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, olives, seafood, pet supplies, seasonal plants, fashion items and a general needs stall.
The Weekly Thursday Market is run independently. For enquiries about holding a stall, please contact Nigel on 07949 303782.
While you’re here, enjoy the infamous view of the Clock Tower framed by the Chiltern Hills, and take a leisurely stroll along the High Street for boutique shopping or a bite to eat at one of Wendover’s cafés and restaurants.
