Overnight Short-Term A413 Closures

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

30th April 2021

Please note the following HS2 works being undertaken on the A413 overnight from Tuesday 4th May 2021 to Friday 21st May 2021.

EKFB are required to clear some of the vegetation close to carriageway on the A413 near the Small Dean roundabout, because this work is very close to the carriageway and to protect drivers they will be implementing short term road closures of around 5 minutes between 20:00 and 06:00.

Once the team are in place and ready they will stop the traffic for a short period of time to clear the vegetation, clear the road of debris and then reopen the road to clear the traffic. The EKFB team will be monitoring the traffic to ensure the road remains as clear as possible during these works. The workforce will be using machinery and handheld equipment to clear the sections but will endeavour to keep the noise to a minimum wherever possible however, there may be some impact locally. EKFB envisage 2-3 closures of the road per hour.

To minimise the disruption on the road and in consultation with Bucks County Council it was decided that short term night closures would be the least disruptive as opposed to a full closure with a diversion or a short-term closure during the day.

Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.
