Closure of Wendover Library

Dear all,

We have received the following message from Bucks County Council concerning the effect of coronavirus on the library service.

" I am writing to update you on the latest developments in respect of library service arrangements in relation to the Covid 19 situation.

On Monday 16 March, the Government gave additional advice to reduce social interaction between people in order to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of this we will be temporarily closing many of our libraries until further notice.

The intention is that Wendover library will close from Sunday 22nd March.

The main county libraries will remain open but with limited service – we have suspended physical book borrowing and will introduce social distancing in order to create a safer environment and will focus on supporting residents with access to information, signposting and ICT. "

I fully understand and agree with this decision, but I also realise that this will be very unsettling for many of our regular library users. I am afraid that it is impossible to say when we will re-open, but I can assure you that we will keep you updated with all information as we receive it.

Best wishes,
