Help Protect Walnut Tree Meadow and Barlow Wood

Do you use Walnut Tree Meadow or Barlow Wood*?

Would you like them preserved as a Community Asset?

If your answer is yes, please could you help us by completing a very short survey: https://forms.gle/eFiHUJ4graX4Wr6J6

* Barlow Wood is the small wood located on the other side of the canal from Walnut Tree Meadow across Oliver’s Bridge.

Wendover Parish Council would like to create the two areas, Walnut Tree Meadow and Barlow Wood, as Community Assets and we need your help to do this. WPC has created an online and printed survey and your answers to this survey will support our application from to protect both spaces as Community Assets.

What is a Community Asset?

A Community Asset is a legal safeguard for Wendover residents to shield the areas against immediate development. It will give Wendover a level of protection for our green spaces for future generations.

Your comments and testimonials will be essential for the application to be accepted.

Who owns these areas at the moment?

Walnut Tree Meadow is currently owned by Bucks Council and the Wood is owned by the Barlow family who previously donated Hampden Meadow to the Parish Council 90 years ago. The Community Asset status does not change the legal ownership of the land.
