Buckinghamshire Local Plan - Public Meeting Cancelled and Residents Encouraged to Respond to Consultation

Wendover Parish Council and Wendover Society had planned to hold a public meeting on Thursday 19 March to give residents the opportunity to discuss the Buckinghamshire Local Plan and share their views.
However, this meeting can no longer take place. Buckinghamshire Council has set the deadline for responses to the consultation as Monday 16 March, which means there is not enough time to hold a public meeting before the consultation closes.
We therefore strongly encourage residents to take part in the consultation directly and make sure Wendover’s voice is heard.
The Buckinghamshire Local Plan proposes around 95,000 new homes across the county over the next 20 years. While much of Wendover lies within the Chilterns National Landscape and is therefore protected, development in surrounding areas could still have significant impacts on our community, including:
Roads and traffic
School places
GP surgeries and healthcare services
Parking and local infrastructure
Even if development does not take place within Wendover itself, growth in nearby areas could affect daily life for residents.
Have your say
Residents can take part in the consultation by completing Buckinghamshire Council’s online survey:
Deadline: Monday 16 March 2026
Residents who wish to provide more detailed comments can also email Wendover Parish Council at:
Your views will help inform the response submitted by Wendover Parish Council and Wendover Society.
It is important that as many residents as possible take part in the consultation. Decisions made now will shape our area for decades to come.
