COMMUNITY AWARDS

We asked you to nominate people you think deserve particular thanks for the work they do in the community. The winners will be honoured at the Annual Parish Council Meeting on the 30th April 2020, 6.30pm at John Colet School.

Please join us there!

 

This year the categories will be:

CREATIVE ARTS
Someone of any age who excels in the creative arts e.g. drama, painting, music, dance, photography etc.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT 
An individual or organisation that has made a significant contribution to the community over an extended period of time.

SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
Someone of any age who has shown great dedication to their sport e.g. as a player or coach.

SERVICE WITH A SMILE
A business or individual that consistently provides faultless & friendly service.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
An individual or organisation that has worked tirelessly over the past year.

OUTSTANDING YOUNG PERSON
A young individual (maximum age 16) who has through a club, organisation or their own volition, significantly contributed to the community.

The winners will be decided by an awards panel consisting of 10 members recruited from each of the following areas:

  • Business (1)

  • Church (1)

  • Schools (1)

  • Sports Clubs (1)

  • Emergency Services – Police (1)

  • Wendover Health Centre (1)

  • Community (2)

  • Chairman Wendover Parish Council Amenities Committee (1)

  • Chairman Wendover Parish Council (1)

Terms and Conditions:

The nominee must have benefited the community of Wendover. You cannot nominate yourself or a relative. Nominations submitted anonymously will not be considered. Nominations for serving councillors will not be considered. Nominations will not be accepted for a member of the Awards Panel. A past winner would not normally be considered again for three years. You can nominate more than one person per category. A form is required for each nomination.
