Wendover Parish Council are pleased to confirm the weekly Thursday market has returned to Manor Waste. Opening at 9am and closing at 3pm.

A one-way system will be in force with sanitiser stations positioned at the entry points. You will be met by a Steward who will explain how the system flows. All the stalls will have additional sanitisers for you to use when completing a purchase and where possible you are encouraged to use contact less payments.

We’ve been asked on numerous occasions when the Fruit & Veg stall is returning to the Thursday Market. The Clerk met with the traders on Thursday 16th July, at which they confirmed the crisis had impacted on their business and they are considering the future very carefully before returning. They have committed to providing a decision during the week beginning 17th August and if confirmed we hope to see them on the market soon after. Should they decide not to return, similar traders will be asked to submit interest.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday and ask you to follow the guidelines to ensure everyone can safely shop and enjoy the market experience.

The monthly Local Produce Market will reopen on Saturday 18th July.

Since 1464 Wendover has had a Royal Charter enabling it to hold a weekly market. The market has occurred since this time, apart from an interlude of nearly a hundred years, continuing from 1983 to the present day.

There are a wide variety of stalls to suit everyone’s needs, such as savoury & sweet bakes goods, fruit & veg, cheese, olives, seafood, pet supplies, seasonal plants, fashion & a general needs shop!!
