Are you passionate about Wendover? Want to make a difference in your community?​

Local Elections take place on 1st May 2025 and if you live and/or work in Wendover you can stand for the Parish Council. You can get involved in making Wendover a wonderful place to live, work and visit.

​

This is a position of responsibility but there are many benefits to becoming a Parish Councillor. Working with other Parish Councillors to improve the parish of Wendover is motivating and rewarding and you often see the outcome of your efforts in local life. The role also means you will get to meet the many local characters and organisations also working to make Wendover such a good place to be!

You must stand in the elections, which are managed by Buckinghamshire Council. If there are fewer nominations than places this means there will not be a ballot.

Office Admin Role

We are recruiting an administrative assistant for the Parish Council to work

15 hours a week and support the Council to deliver on its vision and mission.

The work you do will increase our ability to deliver well managed projects for

the community and will see the successful candidate filing finance

paperwork, proof reading and finishing off Parish Council packs, ensuring

meetings are publicised and supporting the delivery of projects.

​

Working from the iconic Clock Tower in Wendover we need someone who

will complement our team and be able to support the work of the

Councillors. You will be an organised individual who can juggle several

administrative tasks at once. You will be interested in Wendover and confident with the use of office software, in particular spreadsheets. Knowledge of finance and budgets would be helpful but is not essential.

​

The role is offered on a 15 hours per week basis over a 40 week contract (designed to be a term time role) and you will initially be expected to work three days a week between 9:30 and 3pm. The salary is based on £26,835 a year (pro rata £8577.72) This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, although permanent is available if this position works for the community.

​
