NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
The Neighbourhood Planning Working Group in Wendover is made up of a group of local people including two WPC Councillors who meet on a regular basis to shape the development and growth of their local area.
They are able to choose where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built, have their say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided whilst maintaining the character of the town they live in and protecting the AONB.
The Neighbourhood Plan forms part of the development plan and sits alongside the VALP.
The Localism Act was introduced in 2011 and has helped by devolving more decision making to councils, neighbourhoods and gives local communities greater controls over local decisions like housing and planning.
