Wild flowers in Rope Walk Meadow

Early 2007 saw the first flowering season of a wild flower meadow planted in Rope Walk Meadow near Heron Path. The meadow is sown with twenty two varieties of flower and four types of grass. Mowing in July/August and again in September will distribute the seeds. Once established, the stronger poppies, corn flowers and scabious will be joined by fritillaries, cowslips and trefoil.
